Foursquare Pays off for Domino’s Pizza

Domino’s Pizza UK financial earnings has reported an increased pre-tax profit of nearly 29%. The rise in online orders that accounts for 32.7% of all sales is attributed to social media initiatives and Foursquare promotions, according to the company.

Facebook gift shop to stop giving

As of August 1 2010, users will no longer be able to send and receive gifts from friends using the Facebook gift shop. Users however, will still be able to view gifts that they have both given and received, and for those that absolutely have to send a virtual gift, they are still able to do this by using third party applications such as Birthday Cards and Hallmark Social Calendar.

Boris Johnson aims for WiFi on London Underground by the 2012 Olympics

The fearless London Mayor Boris Johnson has proposed to blanket London in WiFi above and below ground by the 2012 Olympic Games stating “The truth is that I’m on the side of progress if we possibly can do it. This would mean that tube travellers would not have to forgo Facebook, Twitter, YouTube even Foursquare access when travelling underground, a greater priority than say air conditioning or increased capacity and reliability, with Mr Johnson concurring: . “I think people want the facility of looking at their BlackBerries (on the Tube)”.
