Running from Saturday July 3rd to Sunday July 25th the 97th Tour de France is made up of 1 prologue and 20 stages that cover a total distance of 3,642 kilometres. Boris Johnson aims for WiFi on London Underground by the 2012 Olympics

This would mean that tube travellers would not have to forgo Facebook, Twitter, YouTube even Foursquare access when travelling underground, a greater priority than say air conditioning or increased capacity and reliability, with Mr Johnson concurring: . “I think people want the facility of looking at their BlackBerries (on the Tube)”.
