Google AdWords New Keyword Tool
Building lists of keywords for PPC campaigns couldn’t be easier with Google AdWords new keyword tool . Launched in September 2009, Google are now encouraging users to switch over from the keyword tool’s old interface to the new.
Currently, the new keyword tool provides a list of categories and more refined filtering system compared to the old system. It allows the user to search for broad, phrase and exact matches simultaneously and view and filter different categories and terms. This will cut times when building PPC keyword lists, whilst also refining PPC campaign-building.

Yesterday, Google’s ‘Inside Adwords ’ blog stated that the new keyword tool would also offer more relevant search traffic estimates. Additionally, the user will be able to select several keywords and see how they may interact and perform in specific ad groups. Estimated Avg. CPC, CTR, Ad Position, Impressions, Clicks and Cost will soon only be viewable on an ad group level. The ad group feature may prove particularly useful when determining which keywords trigger consumer interest leading to conversions compared to those that could lower the overall average quality score of an ad group.
The new keywords tool will undoubtedly heighten efficiency and relevancy in generating PPC keyword lists whilst also predicting how they will perform in reality.
