Google Free Expression
Google has launched a Free Expression YouTube channel to mark the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. The idea is meant to highlight the power of the Internet and in particular the power of websites such as Twitter and YouTube as ways of giving a voice to those who otherwise may not have been heard.
Intended to illustrate the way in which the Internet can allow people to reach out to a global audience, the channel will provide a place for stories and thoughts about free expression to manifest themselves. Users can get involved by creating a video diary sharing their story, to be uploaded to YouTube for others to see. The best entries will be featured on the Google Free Expression channel over the next few weeks.
