Google Links Snippets
Users of the Google search engine can now jump straight into the relevant sections of a particular site courtesy of Google’s snippets, which are displayed below website rankings on the results page. When clicked on, these links will redirect the user to a certain section of a page within a website, so that they no longer have to scroll down looking for the relevant information.
According to Google, the way in which these links can be achieved is by following three main criteria:
Not all link ‘snippets’ will appear all of the time, instead they will only suggest themselves to the user if Google judges the link to be relevant to what is being searched for.
