Easyjet Looks to Begin Selling on Facebook
Yet another addition has been made to the many uses for Facebook .
Yesterday, British Airline EasyJet announced that they intend to offer Facebook users the capacity to plan and book flights on the site itself.
Though EasyJet already offers a Facebook app that helps users with the planning stages, they are not yet actually selling on Facebook . The app’s functions include agreeing on suitable destinations and dates with friends and finding options for different budgets. However, to actually complete the transaction, you are directed to an external website. EasyJet intends to change this by adding booking functionality to their app, becoming the first Airline to begin selling on Facebook .
This is good news both for Facebook itself and the site’s users. Facebook revenue will undoubtedly skyrocket and if this concept takes off, if you will pardon the shocking pun, it may well be blazing the trail for more companies to begin selling on Facebook .
