Facebook gift shop to stop giving

As of August 1 2010, users will no longer be able to send and receive gifts from friends using the Facebook gift shop. Users however, will still be able to view gifts that they have both given and received, and for those that absolutely have to send a virtual gift, they are still able to do this by using third party applications such as Birthday Cards and Hallmark Social Calendar.

Facebook Privacy Issues

Since the popularity of Facebook has increased, so have the concerns facing users over their privacy settings . In a recent report, users have stated that the privacy settings for Facebook are confusing. Combine this with CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitting, “We’ve Made a Bunch of Mistakes”, does not mix a good result in terms of confidence in the social networking site .

Foursquare check-ins hit 40 million

Within a year of launching, social networking site Foursquare has seen its amount of ‘check-ins’ double since last month. This huge increase has taken the sites popularity from 22 to 40 million.

iPad Release Exceeds Expectations
