Twitter Competition for the Most Beautiful Tweet
Stephen Fry is leading the search to find the most beautiful tweet ever through a Twitter competition ! The winner will be announced on June 6 at the Hay festival in Wales where he is due to appear. Stephen Fry possesses a considerable amount of influence through his use of the social networking site and has often caused chaos when suggesting quitting Twitter .
It will be interesting to see how Fry decides to judge the competition as he might be more used to reviewing literary works, however his expertise on all things intellectual will be well respected in the tweeting community.
According to the Guardian , Peter Florence, the festival’s director says “the definition of most beautiful tweet could fall into a number of different categories: it could prove the most eloquent; the most impassioned; the best demonstration of a clever pun or metaphor; the most evocative description of a place or emotion, or perhaps prove that brevity is conducive to levity, and be the wittiest tweet ever committed to the Twittersphere”
Nominations for the most beautiful tweet must be posted on the Twitter account for Hay Festival . Stephen Fry has often used his influence to recommend underexposed musicians, authors, promoting various charities and causes as well. This competition is another great idea to create awareness about the festival through Social Media .
