What Will 2013 Bring for Digital Marketers?

4Ps Marketing is looking forward to 2013 and our first event for the year will be exclusively for clients. We are aiming to draw on our experience in the digital marketing space in 2012 to try to help clients predict what might happen in the coming year.

2012 saw some major changes that affect they way that brands and customers interact:

- Google’s 2012 Penguin update

- Microsoft setting Internet Explorer 10 to “do not track

- Apple’s encrypting Google referral traffic in iOS6

Although all are significant in their own right, together they pose a real challenge for digital marketers, threatening one of the core elements of the digital world – the ability to follow the user from browsing to basket.

And that leads us to the main theme for our clients in 2013 – the need to integrate all aspects of the marketing mix. Help is at hand with software such as Google’s universal analytics but this is no substitute for clear customer journeys across different channels and in different modes.

Integration is key and although we’re primarily here to help your website become more visible, many of our clients are benefiting from our experience of working in SEO, digital advertising and social media.

We are doing this briefing for our clients because, well, they asked us for our insight in to the changing world of digital marketing. If you would like to come along to our free-to-clients briefing at 15.00 on January 22 2013. It could be two hours that gets you ahead of your competitors.
