Rich Snippets Microdata
Rich snippets are a welcome addition from Google. A snippet is the small sample of content shown to users on the Google search results page. The purpose is to provide a convenient summary about the search result, including detailed product information such as price, availability, and review ratings.
To display Rich Snippets, Google looks for markup formats (prominently microdata) that webmasters can add to web pages to make structured data available for Google’s search results. For example, an event can detail the properties venue, starting time, name, and category.

Google wdyl.com – what do you love?
Today Google unveiled it’s brand new search engine offering, which comes in the form of wdyl or ‘What Do You Love?’ It is essentially an aggregated version of the Google search services bundled into one page in a mini search site. The idea is that instead of picking your search method from a list of results (whether its image, web or YouTube video) you type a phrase into the box and click on the heart to get a small range of related results in all of the Google search categories. more ›››

It’s been confirmed, Google Panda update 2.2 is coming soon to a search engine near you says Google’s Matt Cutts. Google +1
What is Google +1?
Google +1 is Google’s new social extension/app for web search, which features a similar function to Facebook’s “like”.
Google have presented webmasters with the opportunity to add a +1 button to their web page, which will show up to others who find that site in the search results. +1 is more than a like button though, it directly affects personalised search and will also create a platform for personalised content. more ›››
