Stat of the Month – The Knowledge Graph now shows up in a whopping 25% of all search queries.

Highly Localised Search Queries – There’s a noticeable growth in hyper-local queries for search traffic as device use expands – voice search now produces in the realms of 30x more queries than “traditional” text searches. These terms tend to be conversational – everything from variations like “near me” or “close by” to followup queries like the infamous “who is the President of the USA” and then “who is his wife” where the search tool can place ensuing queries in context with initial ones.

Google keeps banging on about mobile this and mobile that recently – usability notices on mobile SERPs are likely affecting clickthrough rates, and now lots of webmasters are starting to get mobile usability warnings through Web Master Tools. It’s worth keeping your eyes on things.
