Heart of the City

On the 27th March 2015, our CEO Paul Smith took part in a Heart of the City Leadership Breakfast panel discussion on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). This was held in the aesthetic Mansion House (Egyptian Hall), presented by The Heart of the City, and The RT Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London and co-President of Heart of the City, Alderman Alan Yarrow.

Top of the agenda was to look at ‘Where is the social in business’?

One of the main things to come out of the panel discussion and the questions to follow is the importance of getting the entire business, from the CEO down to each and every employee and department involved in the CSR activities.

It’s about having the ability for employers to empower staff to lead the way, giving them flexibility and options to use their time to achieve great things for worthy causes that are close to their heart, rather than forcing it upon them.

Creating the right platform for employees to use their existing skills for the benefit of CSR means that they can share their knowledge or time with little or no additional input on the individual, which can be a perceived barrier to participation.


The Happiness Index

4Ps measure their success, not only in terms of financials (as every business does), but in the happiness of their clients and staff.

Every quarter we ask our clients and staff members to rate how happy they are with 4Ps on a score out of 10, using The Happiness Index.

This simple metric allows our Management Board to gauge the pulse of the agency; to see where we can improve our service offering and how to improve the working environment for staff.

Our Charity of the Year

Our Charity of the year is for Bloodwise, where they do phenomenal work to help Beat Blood Cancer.

The 4Ps team share a joint target of £5,000 over the year, which will be raised by the team doing various fundraising activities, from taking part in a triathlon, various other sporting events, right through to bake sales and auctions.

The team are given up to 2 days CSR time a year which can be used for a cause of the employee’s choice. This can be our charity of the year, helping in marshaling events, right through to people taking the time to volunteer for another cause that the individual wants to support.
